AN style fittings can be installed and removed many times without using any additional sealants or gaskets, whereas barbed fittings and clamped on hoses can be damaged after repeated use. HPS AN to NPT adapters are made from 6061 aluminum and Type II anodized black to provide improved abrasion and corrosion resistance.
